Start with something you want to accomplish
Ordering a drink is a useful goal because it has an observable result. You need to make a request, understand a likely response and react appropriately. Tell Mocchi your starting level and what you find difficult. Someone who can read the menu but freezes when answering needs a different task from someone who cannot identify the words yet.
Use /plan when you want a personal study structure based on your goals, level, interests and available time. Then choose a manageable task from that structure. The plan is a guide for practice, not a requirement to open every feature or finish a large amount of material in one sitting.

Give vocabulary and kanji a job inside the task
Begin with the words that affect the exchange. A drink name, a size or a word on a menu is more useful here than an unrelated list of advanced terms. Ask /vocab for a focused set and ask /explain about a short phrase you do not understand. Where a kanji appears, study the reading of the actual word rather than guessing from the character alone.
A vocabulary card can become a starting point for another activity. Say a sentence with the word, change one detail and check whether the meaning still fits. This connects knowledge about the item with the ability to use it. You do not need to save every interesting word that appears in a lesson.
Use flashcards, quizzes and review for different checks
Flashcards help you revisit selected vocabulary. A quiz can ask you to choose or produce an answer in a focused exercise. /review can return to weak points in your learning context. These activities overlap, but they are not interchangeable: recognizing a word on a card does not establish that you can answer a question quickly in conversation.
After an incorrect answer, identify what caused the difficulty. Was the word unfamiliar, was the sentence pattern unclear, or did you misunderstand the situation? Choose the next tool from that evidence. A small correction followed by a fresh attempt can be more useful than repeatedly opening the same explanation.

Move from preparation into AI Sensei conversation
Ask /kaiwa in Mocchi for a suitable topic or roleplay mission, then use AI Sensei for the spoken exchange. AI Sensei presents a voiced teacher in an immersive 3D setting. The visual environment and conversational interface give the practice a sense of place, while the important task remains listening and responding to what is actually said.
Prepare only a few useful expressions. Keep the full script closed so you can notice whether you retrieve the language yourself. If the answer is different from the one you expected, ask a clarification. A smooth rehearsal is useful, but responding to a new turn is a more demanding check.

| もう一度お願いします。 | Mō ichido onegai shimasu. | Please say that again. |
Use learning context to connect the next session
Mocchi can use your learner profile and recorded weak points when guiding practice. AI Sensei can receive relevant study context, including current topics and recent difficulties, so a conversation can give you another chance to use what you are studying. This supports continuity without requiring you to explain your whole learning history each time.
That context is selective rather than a perfect record of everything you have ever said. Tell the tutor when a goal changes or an exercise no longer fits. If a review suggestion misses your actual difficulty, bring a concrete example from your latest attempt and ask to focus on it.
Measure the connection through a new attempt
Return to the cafe task with a different drink or a new follow-up question. Can you request it clearly and respond without reading the previous exchange? That small change helps distinguish remembered wording from a skill you can reuse. The result can guide your next flashcard, quiz, explanation or conversation target.
Unihongo’s breadth is useful when these tools contribute to a coherent routine. You can study a word, understand a sentence, test recall, speak and revisit a weak point within the same platform. Use that connection to make your next step clearer, while keeping the learning goal more important than the number of features you open.
