Mocchi is Unihongo’s Japanese learning agent. You can ask about grammar, kanji, and vocabulary, practise with quizzes, and create a personal 60-day study plan. It uses your learner profile and recorded weak points to help guide future practice.
How is Mocchi different from AI Sensei?
Mocchi helps you learn and plan through text chat, reference cards, and quizzes. AI Sensei is Unihongo’s spoken conversation experience. Mocchi can recommend a speaking topic or roleplay mission so you can use what you have studied aloud.
Can I start as a complete beginner?
Yes. Tell Mocchi that you are starting from zero, what you want to do in Japanese, and how much time you have. You can ask for simple explanations and use Unihongo’s kana tools alongside your plan.
Is Mocchi free?
You can start with a free Unihongo account. Daily message, kanji, and plan-operation allowances apply. Some capabilities, including reading, writing, and mock tests, depend on your subscription. Check the available plans and your in-app allowance for details.
Does Mocchi guarantee fluency or a JLPT pass?
No. Mocchi gives you structure, explanations, and opportunities to practise. Your progress depends on your starting point and practice, and AI can make mistakes. Use feedback thoughtfully and keep practising with real people too.
